I am writing to thank you for your recent generous donation towards Viva Marguerite. The Charity Ball last Friday night was a huge success. Margie looked absolutely beautiful and healthy and was able to enjoy the evening with her husband, family and friends, all 850 of them! Thanks to your generosity, over $91,000 was raised to allow Margie to undertake whatever treatment/s are available to her to give her an extended life with her young family. The organisers think they may crack the $100,000 mark. Her wish is to see her youngest of four, now 7 months old, go to school. With the ball wrapped up, her hormone treatment and drug treatment specifically targeting the bone cancer will now be ramped up to chemo. Margie made us all laugh and cry in her speech early on in the night, but assured us she is not giving up without a fight. Beneath her courage and strength, she admitted to being absolutely devastated following the recent prognosis, naturally, and she wished that Friday's gathering was for another reason. Despite this, she managed to celebrate with all the guests on Friday night and a great time was had by all. The overall spirit of the room was electric and the support extremely overwhelming. There were 7 live auctions, 150 silent auctions and 500 mystery balloons along with lucky door prizes and a raffle. Your donation contributed towards the $91 odd thousand raised. Amazing! Thank you! I will sign off with a personal thank you from Margie. Every single individual, company etc that made a donation was listed in alphabetical order in the official program, yourself included. Enjoy, and thank you so much for responding to my request for a donation. Thank you, you have made a difference in Margie's and her families lives. Angela Conte |
Everyone at the reception was in raptures with Doug’s singing...it was mentioned several times in the speeches.... and what a special gift it had added to Nikki’s wedding. Thank you so much...Doug is superbly talented and it was a pleasure to have him on board. Jan Preston |
The band was awesome! I knew they would be – I’m just a bit of a paranoid mess before any event. Everyone loved them and I received so many comments from people about how good they were and how much they enjoyed them. Everyone was on the dance floor! The band were absolute professionals. Thanks so much for your help leading up to the night, and please pass on my thanks (AGAIN) to Doug and the band. They made the night. Have a great Christmas! CARLA TARFON |

DHL Xmas Party, Coogee 2007 "Doug Williams and the Mix were the ideal band for our work Christmas Party with a style of music and range of old time favourite songs and originals catering for our youngest to our oldest employees. Doug and the band have a great funky groove about their performance that makes it impossible to stay off the dance floor."

| Dear Doug Thank you for your support of the Sydney Children's Hospital GOLD DINNER 2006 through your generous donation of your time and music expertise. You and The Mix contributed tremendously to the overall success of the evening through entertaining the guest with the fabulous and powerful number, The Rhythm of Life. The evening was filled with colour, music and fantastic light around the them of Rhythm of Life and was huge success raising a record net profit of over $1.7 million for the Kidney Service as the Hospital. These funds will make an enormous impact on the lives of thousands of children suffering from kidney disease and other kidney problems and will allow this vital service to be expanded and enhanced. This outstanding result was only possible due to the generous support we received from everyone involved in the event - from our generous gold table patrons and their guests, to our prize donors, production crew and volunteers. I have enclosed a copy othe Gold Dinner 2006 official programme, and the Sun Herald "Thank You " advertisement which appeared on Sunday 18th June, 2006, recognizing the support of all donors to this year's Dinner. Thank you again for your generosity with your time and energy given for the Gold Dinner 2006. We are looking forward to 2007 when we celebrate the Gold Dinner's 10th Anniversary.
